So, what do you think of this? Who am I asking? Why my Glorious Readership! I know it's like 2 people but hey it's something. Or, maybe it's all in my imagination?
Anyway, here is the article.
So, 30% over 2080 Ti, this is likely RTX 3080 or 3080 Ti, or 3090 obviously, as VideoCardz says. Either way, it doesn't really matter what they call this product, I suspect it might be RTX 3080 vanilla, and they will save a larger (45~%) jump fully enabled GA102 part for the Ti or 90, later. The reason why I say naming doesn't matter at this point, is because this graphics card will not be cheap. I expect $1000 USD, minimum. Which would represent a tiny reduction in MSRP for 30% more performance than 2080 Ti Founders (1200 USD) but a pretty huge increase in price from 2080 ($700 USD).
I hope I'm wrong, and this card is at most, 700 USD. There it will hopefully put things back on track without the price going up each generation, regardless, though I am excited in the technology and look forward to reading about it and seeing how it performs in games, I have little interest in buying these ultra premium products.
The true Yummy Sauce for me is when they bring DXR to < 300 USD. But I doubt even RTX 3060 is going to be < 300 USD. Maybe RTX 3050?
Thought I'd make a forum topic since I recently rage-quit Discord because they began incorporating current (racial, political) events into clientside banners. Please talk to me. :>
